English regions will get a full length programme at 10.25 on One according to the BBC Two announcer.

Ridiculous. Good on the nations for keeping disruption to a minimum where they can.

Wonder how far an FoI request for how much overtime this debacle is costing would get?

It's plain stupidity - how hard is it to do a transition to BBC Two, where it broadcasts on both channels for a minute giving a chance for users to switch over, then BBC One goes to the regional news?

Not to mention the unneccesary costs of bringing in the full production team, reporters, and presenters for each program on each of the 16 regions..

Seems like a very short @bbcspotlight at 7pm on BBC One because of tennis. We're standing by!

And Sir Peter of Levy says

@peterlevy Look north headlines coming up at 7 00 p.m. but the main look north won't be on until 10 20 tonight

If the tennis does finish by 7, given that the nations are already showing their news between 6.30 and 7, they're going to have to pad with trailers for about 5 minutes before The One Show, unless they plan to broadcast at 7-7.05pm on BBC One as well (which is what my Freesat EPG says is planned in England)

If it is over by 7pm, then surely a full length regional news would be a better idea than The One Show?

Reporting Scotland on BBC Two just cut their final report (halfway through the intro!) and went to the weather early (now) so they may be doing the BBC One short summary too!

Edit - my bad. Just a normal ' VT not ready' glitch.
