He didn't go absolutely mental. I thought he handled it quite calmly, and as BBC World pointed out, he's a superb professional who wouldn't be fazed by things like that
Loved it when the weather, with Matt Taylor, didn't work. Is the weather sometimes pre-recorded on the news channel?

Yes - it used to be the case that sometimes the news channel forecaster was also on a BBC One bulletin at the same time. It maybe that this would normally be the case on a Sunday with the forecast into the Andrew Marr show on BBC 1.
Another Scotland news split again this evening - it's on at 6pm instead of 5.30pm...not sure quite why because at 5.30pm BBC scotland is showing My Family!

Contingency arrangements in case the earlier football went to extra time I suspect.
Wasn't sure where else to post this, but this link is one of the most bizarre headlines and stories I have ever seen on BBC News. Is the word "farting" now recognised in the OED?
Was it REALLY worth bringing in Kate Silverton to do a 5 minute news bulletin on the BBC1? Chris Rogers is currently on the News channel, it really does seem pointless to bring in a big face for a 5 minute summary, a bit of a waste of money!
Could they have not done it from the CSO as well?
I'm pretty sure Chris Rogers would have been OK for 5 minutes on a BBC1/News channel simulcast!!!
