Mishal Husain was tweeting live during the Ten tonight ... a first I suspect for a Network newsreader in the UK.

I'm sure this question has been asked regularly, but I can't remember whether the likes of noggin have actually responded.
Perhaps it's used by BBC News/BBC World News to record programmes such as HardTalk or StraightTalk on Saturdays. It could also be leased to independent production companies.
Out of interest, is TC7 usually left in the same set up as Newsnight from the night before on Saturdays, and when do the sets get changed for The Politics Show and The Andrew Marr Show?

Straight Talk ended, did it not? I always got the impression it was done from Millbank, given a very noticable black cloth used for the background (something that looked too unpolished for it to have been done in a studio like TC7). I've always wondered when they filmed Hardtalk, given it's 5+ airings a week.
Thanks for the reply.

Interestingly, her final tweet was "OK, no more tweeting on live television", or words to that effect!

I don't think I understand? Do you mean 'Does Millbank have a plasma screen in its studio like TC7 and N6?' (for which N6 and TC7 don't, at least not usually) or 'Does Millbank have a studio containing a permanent set made up entirely of BARCO screens, like those in TC7 and N6?'?
If the latter, then no. It's studio seems to keep the Daily Politics set up the vast majority of the time - and no BARCO screens there. (Pic here, for example).
At the last budget (or at least budget before last) they wheeled in a big reddy-pink desk in place of the smaller table and chairs seen in that picture. Doubt they will this time, though, as last time it took up the studio all week I seem to recall.
Sorry if this wasn't what you meant and/or were after, only trying to be helpful!
(Waits for someone to tell him a big reddy-pink desk has taken the place of the smaller table and chairs all this week...)

It looked on the trail like Andrew was sat behind the big reddy-pink desk complete with the awful framing of presenter and projector screen you always get on that set.

Joy. I'd like to say that set really needs a revamp, but with such limited space it's hard to see what a new set could bring (other than different coloured walls, perhaps).

I'd rather they (The BBC, ITV, heck, even sky) be able to pass HD from Millbank first.
