Does anyone know what studio the News update for the Andrew Marr Show is in.
It's from Salford.
And they're still using the old backdrop. Mind you, it would be misleading to use the newsroom backdrop when that's not where they are..
I don't think it would be misleading - most people don't care where a bulletin is physically located. Keeping the backdrops the same should be important from a brand / recognition perspective though.
Mind you, it's only on screen for 5 mins a week, I cant imagine anyone is too bothered.

Surely it's still the same brand? Red and grey with the globe motif? The only difference is it's not longer etched on the glass.
The "old" background is based on what the NBH newsroom would be like, and most regional sets now have a background based on the N6 design. So the chances of a person realising it's the "old" background are pretty low, and even if they did they wouldn't automatically think that meant it was coming from London. And even if they did, who cares?
What studio is HARDtalk now coming from since the big move? They're still using the same set it's mostly been on
for the past several years, so it looks as though it's still in the old news studio at TVC, but that can't be possible.
I'd have thought that if HARDtalk is now recorded at NBH, they'd adapt the new sets accordingly.

Similarly "Breakfast with Frost" continued to use the 1993-1997 Breakfast News backdrop even after the latter's rebrand.
So BBC Scotland just cut into the JJ Abrams interview towards the end of the Ten, with a still of the Reporting Scotland sting stuck on screen. They waited a few seconds then just ran the sting and started their bulletin early - no sign off from Will Gompertz's report, no handover from Fiona Bruce. Amateur hour.
John Sopel on Global mentioned the 10 nearly fell off air due to a mouse in the studio while discussing a segment on the bad habits of office colleagues, and his and a fellow workers experiences of NBH - Fiona not keen on them apparently and probably wanted out sharpish.
Problems with the ticker on the News Channel at the moment. It is currently showing breaking news from a couple of weeks ago. It mentions the implications the explosions in Boston will have to the London Marathon this Sunday.
