I have to say that the "calibration" errors are there to make it look more realistic, and are definitely to annoy a certain M. Webb. I have to say I rather like it, and anything that annoys Matt W. is a plus point in my book.
The newsroom backdrop must be cut off on the sides - I'm not sure how the camera would be able to move in all the required ways to mirror the cameras in the studio, and I think it would be far too much work and faffing around for such a small effect.
They should have slightly blurred out the second shot to give it some depth, it looks too fake too me.
It would be nice if say The Papers had a different lighting scheme like BBC World News does for Studio B, its always red on the news channel.

Does anyone know why the virtual screens in Studio A aren't 'calibrated' correctly? Is this so certain forum members still have something calibration-related to complain abaout? As seen in the cap below, the red strips don't align with each other as they go down.
I also noticed that when on the side shot below, when the camera was moving closer in and around the desk, that the background behind moved slightly also - is this clever camerawork so that the newsroom camera mirrors the movement of the studio camera, or is just that when facing the virtual backdrop, bits are cut off at either side to give a more realistic effect when the camera moves?
