North Korea isn't going to blow up the UK, so no need to worry about that, We've probably been eating horsemeat for years and not realised, so in theory what else have the NC got to go on?

Why show yourself up like that?

I'm just stating a fact really, After all I'm no fan of Baroness Thatcher but remember she was in power for 11 years and made some pretty controversial decisions that shaped the country for really what it is now. So I don't understand how I'm showing myself up?

Mate, if I need to point out to you how uninformed your previous post was (quoted at the top of this message) then you're never going to understand.

Can someone watch on HD the beginning of the Six tonight and look at the top 15pct of the image as the zoom in takes place? I think I am seeing some detail tearing, am wondering if the complexity of the image is too great for the encoder / decoder systems to cope with.

Comments welcome.

Presumably watching via DTT ?

If the encoder is gasping for breath, it only serves to reinforce my opinion that the backdrop is far too 'busy'. Cool

I'll take a look tonight, and also record the D-Sat version of BBC 1 HD

... Yes DTT (have a feeling that it won't actually feature tonight, expecting Westminster / Downing St anchoring) we'll see though.

Looked OK on DTT, though the encoder stayed in progressive mode throughout, and well into the headline sequence, so that's not right.

D-Sat looked fine

... agreed it was ok, but the opening shot was narrower than usual, much moreso than the 'one' today. Will keep an eye on it.

Don't worry, some people here do watch the news with some previous current affairs knowledge.

Why would you schedule an advert for 'The Papers' about 30 seconds before it's due to start? Especially when neither of the billed presenters are presenting it, so it transitions like this:

*

And then seconds later:

I just saw this and couldn't help notice the two people in the background over Sians left shoulder (right side on camera) at the very beginning walking towards the studio and then immediately ducking for cover.
