Indeed - that was probably the worst "The Papers" since the new format started with 2 guest reviewers one week ago.

Thursday at midday will make for some interesting viewing - the start of the 12 hour strike by the NUJ and BECTU. Presumably Joanna and Ben will only present for an hour, then Gavin Grey or whoever will come in. But it'll be interesting watching the newsroom, will we see everyone walking out on screen at the top of the hour?!

Being a BECTU strike, there's bound to be lots and lots of technical problems, bad directing, and basic graphics too.

Interesting! It is happening after NC's 10th day at BH. They couldn't have waited until Good Friday... Crying or Very sad

I thought I was just imagining it. It's the slowest it's ever been.

Pitty - I preferred the new quicker ticker - a rolling news channel should have pace! Smile

Oh dear. Delivering the weather from an open floor with a head mic (or whatever you call that) doesn't really work, does it?

I don't think I've seen one 'Still to come' on the 10 o'clock news since the move. Has this been ditched?

They don't use a clicker when presenting the weather any more. Do they control it some other way, does someone do it for them, or is it timed?

I sent an e-mail to bbcnewschannel@bbc.co.uk about the slow ticker but got no reply. It was much easier to read when it was quicker and much more useful than it is now.

Is TVC still being used as a backup if NBH breaks down?
