BBC National/News Channel from New Broadcasting House

Just saw them, and they are spectaular... as always.
Though it's kinda odd that the 90sec and 60sec countdown starts at 87sec and 57sec respectively, is it because of the lack of sounds found on BBC WN countdown?

I hope the almighty paulm also uploads the new version of BBC WN countdown.

No opening titles into Dateline London this afternoon. Appears to be a playout fault.

Looks a bit cramped in Studio E with Gavin and four guests around the desk.

Ha ha, came on here to post exactly the opposite. I thought there was plenty of room!

No wide newsroom shot for the openings on weekend.

May have just been because the Dateline London guests were still there.

I'll check out how will BBC WN will air Dateline London as a recorded program...

These are looking great. But why are they not named ABCDEF? I've tried to find a reason for A1 A2 etc. so excuse me if I'm missing the obvious.

My guess was that there are two different end shots of Broadcasting House, for daytime and nighttime. The clips are the same throughout the two variations but are shown in a different order.

I get the impression that there should had been a LIVE BBC News box logo on the titles...


and the desk is actually just right for round-table talks, but not for double-headed presenting...




EDIT: but those Red ball lights on the Newsroom are a bit distracting!

I thought those red balls were only for Red Nose Day. So, they're permanent?
