Don't you hate it when people lie?

I said nothing about what I like or dislike. I'm saying that you are wrong in thinking it is SO important to viewers.

I never said that. I said it looks better on screen.

Anyway, we'll agree to disagree. It makes for healthy discussions on here. Smile

BBC News in N6 and Sky News in it's current form show that staying in one place almost constantly with no imagination of camera shots, use of full screen graphics - gets stale. I know it's 'the news' - but if it's as dull as dishwater, people will turn over.

EDIT: I thought I'd add that at no point today when my mum watched the One O'Clock news did she mention "oh look, she's standing up - let's not turn over". No sane person would switch the news off over such minutiae as standing up, projection cubes, or visible gaps in said cubes.

Bilky, go back to metropol where you can moan about people on here to your hearts contempt.

Where as my mum said 'oh look, they have a new studio with a new walkway'.

No change to the overnights apart from the return of the BBC News box in the titles, the ticker is showing the same info on both channels but is scrolling faster on the NC.

Nice to see when you're proven wrong, you decide to tell me to go to a forum and post there about members, despite the fact my heart hates me for doing so.

You might want to link to them with a thumbnail, but I can't see why you would be banned over such a nice thing.

Ok, having looked through everything I can see online regarding the National/NC new look etc.... I can honestly say I don't really like it that much. The toth bed sounds more like it should be used for the headline bed at .15, the tags for twitter etc don't like right compared to WN, and quite a few of the studio shots are half pie especially the shot with the presenter and screen to our right. The dog with clock is no way near as better to look at than WN's as some people have said the spacing its worse and from BBC to News is same pixels as BBC to World News. Also I'd like to say World News' coming up straps are better and I don't like the box with the time and channel logo of whats ahead. Also I dont like the headline wipe and stings. WN's wipe is better too. Smile

Sure they have a massive newsroom behind them but I think World News' studios look a lot better.

Basically, you like nothing? Is it sour grapes? Wink

I think the News channel looks ar superior to World. As a domestic viewer we've had to put up with a fake newsroom for 4 years - whereas World News was in N8 and had a live newsroom view.

The desk has to be replaced, it's like putting a picnic set into a lounge, doesn't work.

They seem to compliment each other IMO.

And here's my two cents worth...

Overall very impressed with the move, the studio and the backdrop of the newsroom, the revamped countdown and the strings within the headline beds.

However...The titles to me seem out of place, and to be honest a botched job, I would have liked it they had followed World by slowing them down of sorts.

Marks out of 10??? 9/10 at the moment, it will be a 10/10 if they change the titles sooner rather than later.

Is it just me or is the ticker at NC slightly faster than the one at WN?
