Looks very fake...can someone explain? Confused

Millbank style trick photography.

Didn't we see some screens there earlier? Maybe they can turn them green and create a CSO on them?

I think it's the pillar which makes that shot look fake, it looks 2D because of the straight on angle.

When they use the wide shot, you can see the pillar just stop midair.

It looks awful, anyway. Leave CSO to studio A only, for the 9 hour!

It spoils the rather nice studio.

I wonder what the place would look like on a strike day, when rather than if it happens again?

I'm confused! What spoils the studio?
If it's the screens in the background, it is presumably because they have added frosted glass in front of them as seen on @BBCBenThompson picture on twitter: https://twitter.com/BBCBenThompson/status/313622285640679425/photo/1

I agree. Is that shot really necessary? The studio looks stunning from all angles, I don't see the argument for laying on a dodgy background on top of it...

Worzel may be trying to convince the thread of the use of fake backdrops, but if he did a tiny bit of research you would realise that that is actually the real background to that studio. It's appeared in a number of pics over the last few weeks including a now removed panorama shot of the studio, as well as the Twitter link in the post above.

Ah, that explains it. Think it's that blur on the lines between the screens that made it look a little like a CSO background. Looked fine earlier when single guests were there, maybe because it was a tighter shot, not sure.
