okay, i'm a bit confused... BBC NC is showing Sportsday, but Sport Today has just started on BBC WN. Which one is Live?
Both are live. Sportsday finished just before 18:45 LON time, Sport Today started at 18:45 LON time.

All looks great to me, one thing I would put money on though is the view out onto the newsroom will gradually become reduced or out of focus on camera. I hope it doesn't but history tells me otherwise. Love the idea of the weather coming from the balcony, out of interest is the screen used for the weather a super hi-def screen or just HD as it looks super sharp picture quality.

I wonder if that was one change too many on day one. Perhaps we'll see it used once they've settled in?
Still haven't seen the ipad being used... I was under the impression that was going to be used to replace presenters holding sheets of paper?

Maybe some presenters don't believe in the (current) fallacy of a paperless office? Maybe there's no need to use such gimmicks on day one? Maybe the presenters have a choice?

At least with paper, when it falls to the floor, it is still intact whereas you may not be able to say the same thing about an iPad.

The continued presence of a big printer built into the set behind the desk suggests paper is still the best alternative as a backup. I always thought the Sky News tablets flashed around when standing in front of the newswall seemed gimmicky.
A couple of things I noticed from Nick's walkabout:
Little notices on these desks saying "Access only please. You are on camera".
These big blocks with monitors mounted on them. These seem to have magically appeared as the solution to get rid of all the grey doors showing up on early shots of the newsroom from the studio. Likely serving no actual useful purpose to those in the newsroom at all, but make the backdrop look a lot better.
