They've brought back the "fake" newsroom backdrop they got rid of 4 hours ago - well sort of. But at least it won't piss-off non-Londoners.
And shaky cam into studio C. At least there hasn't been much sight of that in studio E (so far).

I like the newsroom background in studio C. Wish World would also use it sometimes. It gives more depth to the studio.

It may have something to do with displaying the Twitter logo on a non-commercial channel, as opposed to BBC World News
It seems BBC News channel prefer to use the "@" symbol for Twitter accounts, instead of the usual Twitter bird used by BBC WN...
By the way, now that BBC WN and BBC NC are on the same place...
Which gallery will be used for overnight broadcasts?

It would have been better if they have posted on that studio C BARCO the newsroom backdrop (almost) exactly as it is seen from studio E.
It reminds me of when Huw was presenting from this version of N6:
Somewhere midway into the tour, he lets out a little secret about the newsroom backdrop. I wonder if it still applies.

I quite like the backdrop on C - certainly adds some variety. Makes me wonder why they didn't structure the studio plans to allow the national bulletins to come from there to allow greater use of the big screen to display stories like they were able to - albeit very rarely - in N6. I suppose it's to show off the newsroom to a greater audience and continue to make people see BBC News as one operation.
Edit: the above post about the 1999 backdrop in N6 also makes me wonder what has changed in allowing bulletins which can reach 6 million viewers to have such a potentially problematic backdrop.
