I've got to admit, I had a lump in my throat when watching her final goodbye, Bob Hockenhull got it right "Queen of Midlands Broadcasting". Reckon we could get her a damehood?

EDIT: Recorded, edited and upscaled a version of Kay's send-off and am uploading it to YouTube, 720p but it might look a bit ropey due to the upscaling. Also gave her a little title sequence and fresh, animating 'Farewell Kay' astons, why not?! She deserves nothing less!

Is it just me or is the first picture in the hearts towards the end of the montage actually isn't Kay. Isn't it Sue Beardsmore?

I think it's because that was a 4:3 graphic made at Pebble Mill stretched to 14:9, made her face look wider - it's Kay!http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1976792/kayshot.png
That any better?

So no opinions on Russell Joslin, bearing in mind the occasional story has popped up in the past re the BBC management?

(Wonder who the former female colleague refered to is?)

I'd say it would be disrespectful at this stage and any opinions given would only be given by those who are uninformed.

Anyone read page 3 of todays Mail on Sunday then?

Ironic if it turns out to be her, bearing in mind, shes been moaning about having her boobs felt elsewhere!

Yeah, Des Coleman (on East Midlands Today). Don't know if he's still around though.
