It was half term in some areas last week. Don't know how old his kids and grandkids are but perhaps that was his reason for time off.

Kay's last bulletin is tomorrow lunchtime.

He was on P&O's Arcadia on a 13 day cruise around the Canary Islands...
..and doing an very enjoyable hour long talk about his tv career.

Lovely tribute to Kay just now on Midlands Today.

Didn't Kay wear that red leather jacket on the last Midlands Today from Pebble Mill?

Good tribute and nice to hear verious classic Midlands Today sig tunes. She names checks Malin in one clip then it was up to Nick to point out Sue Beardsmore, her at times co presenter...

Is she the longest serving BBC regional presenter?

Nina Nannar spotted as well in the clip.

I'll have to dig the clip out(Somewhere in my DVD collection, & I have no way of putting up online!) but I think you're right about the red jacket.
