It looks a lot bigger than the old studio, it also looks more slick and the background isn't distracting from the programme anymore. I agree about the screens not being big enough.

The size of screens really limits the amount of attractive shots they can do - few wide shots.

Looks a lot nicer on screen - with deeper colours, and the shots aren't as bad as I imagined. it will be interesting to see if they use the screens along the side of the studio for images and so on. Would prefer this studio to our bland one in Yorkshire!

One thing I did notice, Shefali looked quite small in front of the weather screen and on the wide shot to close the programme, we saw she was stood right up to the baking tray. So, we have screens that are too small and a screen that is too big!

Shefali's not known for her stature, she's about 4'10"...

Interesting that they've using the original 2008 regions music that only appeared in London for a short time, but have kept the South East Today closing music.

Agreed, they clearly didn't consider the main angles they'd be using when determining where to route the cables.

So when does the 6:30 programme change to a one presenter format?

she was further forward in those shots, interesting they appear to use a wide angle lens to do the weather - look how curvy those straight edges come out!

And there lies a problem - wouldn't be surprised if they move things around a little eventually.
