Looks good given the space they have to play with!

Oh I do like so far! Smile Very nice!

Can't wait to see it on air now.

Looks better in the pictures - the thing that spoils it for me is the small screens. Surely that's going to mean very tight shots or lots of white/red lightboxes in shot?

While I would prefer to have doubled those screens to be two screens tall, the lack of huge separating boxes breaking the screens apart, makes me prefer this studio to the Breakfast, North West Tonight one!

The Desk is very similar to the BBC Sport Desk and overall it looks very nice.

Are any other Regions set to get more Generic Sets (such as Channel Islands, East Midlands, Oxford et cetera...)

One head-shot so far...!

Judging from the sliver in the bottom left, the red looks a lot richer on-camera. Glad to see they got that right. I think they've done very well for a regional set, the frameless plasmas are a creative solution for small budgets.

Shame they have kept the old titles, and the astons don't animate. Sad

I don't ever remember the Rotunda featuring so prominently before...

Nice how they've got a studio based interview straight off to show off the new studio. Shame all the exterior staircases look like diving boards at a swimming pool.

It's a tad strange that they didn't go for a circular pedestal at the bottom, like in the BBC Breakfast set, continuing with the new look. Unless they're planning on changing it next year or whatever.

Very nice, bright colour scheme. Good mix of blues and reds on the screens. It looks very impressive so far, I must say.

Desk is great as well - I really like the new style ones we've seen in Salford as well. The ones in N6, N8 etc. look just too bulky and ugly now!

Unrelated, but I'd really like to see a desk tried out every now and then in the Breakfast studio in Salford. I'd imagine it would look very complimentary, like in the Midlands here.
