I didn't see the Breakfast bulletins this morning, however it seems that Sara Thornton only presented the weather with someone else on travel.

It was Jules Lang on travel. So Lou is capable of doing the weather but Jules (and Steve Phillips before her) obviously aren't! So once again the entire format falls over because the scheduled presenter (usually Wendy on a Wednesday) is absent for whatever reason. Ridiculous! From reading Twitter I believe Lou is off on holiday in a few days and Wendy was talking about holidays as well so who knows what the genius at BBC London who devised this format will come up with next??!

More mess! Yesterday was the same as Wednesday, but on one of the bulletins when Jules finished the travel Alex started his 'Time for the weather' intro and got cut off in mid sentence when it jumped straight to the recording of Sara. Today Lou was back but again on at least one bulletin the weather graphics weren't working.

On a side note I'm going to nickname Lou "As you can see",since it seems to be her new favourite phrase as she uses it anything upto half a dozen times in each bulletin.

Jules Lang on travel again today with a recorded weather spot from Kaddy. Expect the same tomorrow as Lou Pepper is on holiday for two weeks. Still wondering why they think Lou is capable of doing the weather forecast but Jules isn't!

Just noticed (via a snippet on the back page of Ariel) that Mike Ramsden has left BBC London. From his twitter: "Leaving broadcast for a job in Comms.. More soon."

He's off after presenting tonight's 6.30 for Riz.

On Carnival Monday, Breakfast bulletins will include a proper travel presenter as well as a weather presenter, instead of the normal dual role.

Looks like it's Victoria tonight on BBC London. Looks like London is limited to main anchor presenters now that Mike's left and Louisa is presumably stillm on maternity leave. Personally I'm switching back to ITV London tongiht when Natasha joins inn a few weeks as its all becoming a bit stale bland and auto cuey at BBC London for my liking

Which again turned out to be Jules, with Sara Thornton doing pre-recorded weather (which she also did for South East Today).

And here in the North East. Was she doing most/all regions, or just those few?

Not sure what happened on Breakfast this morning,it's usually Wendy on a Wednesday but the 6.25,6.55 and 7.25 had Victoria doing the whole bulletin on her own (including travel and weather) before Sara Thornton appeared with a recorded weather forecast at 7.55 and 8.25,with Victoria still doing travel. Victoria doing the whole bulletin will only reinforce the arguments of those who believe the BBC can/should save money by doing away with seperate travel and/or weather presenters on local bulletins.

Surely they *can* do travel and headlines with one? Scotland manages - and there are days where the travel takes up a whole big chunk of the broadcast.

Lets face it - most of the information is compiled from public sources, so its not as if you need an on-air specialist.
