Why on Earth do there have to be so many different presenters for BBC London News? It's impossible to warm to them, as there is no consistency like with the national bulletins.
Off the top of my head, I can think of: (some no doubt will be spelt incorrectly)
Asad Ahmed
Matt Barbett
Gillian Joseph
Riz Latif
Emily Maitlis
Mike Ramsden
Samantha Simmons
So far, that's one for each day of the week!
I don't know what else any of these presenters do (I assume they read for radio too or something).
To all those not in the London region - does your local BBC News require this many faces to see it through a week's worth of bulletins?
Well Look North NE&C has a regular team of about 5... and in a usual week all of them are seen. It's mostly Carol on the 6.30 though (sadly - the other presenters aren't too bad).
Well all of those bar Emily Maitlis (who does consistantly present the 6.30 bulletins), also report for the programme, so they do have other things to do. I imagine there must be some sort of rota for the bulletins during Breakfast, but remember Gillian Joseph seems to have now become one of the main newsreaders on Breakfast itself.
I don't think it's such a bad thing that the others don't get regular bulletins, I actually quite like the fact that you get different people on different days. It keeps the programme fresh, IMO.
And,of course,it's a well- known fact that when these BBC London presenters use their keyboards they should know that " stewardesses " is the longest word that is typed with only left hand on a QWERTY keyboard.

It may be one for each day of the week, but as the first bulletin is on at 6:30am and the last at 10:30 PM, they would need 2-3 presenters a day to cover all of them
As mentioned by someone else earlier, most of the presenters also report. AIUI the 10:30pm presenter will have appeared on the 6:30 programme either in a package or on an OB

Here in the North West theres about 7 main presenters too, but each of them have their own slot.
Fiona Trott for Breakfast
Ranvir Singh for Breakfast (occassionally)
Nigel Jay (sometimes appears on Breakfast)
Gordon Burns (for the 1:30, 3:20 and 6:30)
Anabel Tiffin (for the 10:25)
Carol Lowe (for the 10:25)
Tina Bangs (for Saturday and Sunday)
On BBC London, there are other presenters who are occasionally used:
Louisa Preston (who also presents on the ITV News Channel)
Geraint Hughes (who is a Sports Reporter as well)

Is this some reference to a 'one hand typing action' they do as the camera pans out at the end or something? (Notes in their right hand, left hand typing at the keyboard). Other than that, I have no idea either.......
