I wondered what the heck was going on when Newsroom South East popped up at 6.30 last night instead of BBC London!

Of all of them - the Guy Michelmore grab still looks really rather good doesn't it? Nice feeling of depth and space in the background, and a fresh airy feel - but not a distracting mess either (though ISTR that they did the Brekky bulletins from a different single-camera position with a painted backdrop?). Was always surprised that they ditched the newsroom backdrop, put up a thick curtain and turned the set round 180 degrees to make it look like they had a studio. The various blue backdrops in the Tim Ewart era were very dull in comparison.

Thats really quite amusing, I can imagine how it must of gone to the gallery...

Yes, they are used exclusively on the 6.30 programme, but the images change each day.

Probably something to do with London being the default?

You're assuming there's more than one person in the gallery at that time of morning!

Just run it without any intro? It's likely that it would have been a presenter read rather than a cut package(they rarely have time for a full package at brekafast) so wouldn't have made any sense at all if they'd just run it

There'll be more thean one person but a bare minimal number.

The bulletins are automated with all the cameras and cut items lined up in order and then taken manually. Chances are that if they were caught unawares they might not have reloaded the automation list from rehearsal and therefore when the director pressed take; an iten from another part of the programme appeared
