Wow. That is truly awful.

And I thought that 5 minute mocks were unlikely to actually be used in real TV presentation.

On the plus side though it seems that headlines have now been introduced back into the 6.30 edition.

From the six we fade into a red screen with BBC LONDON on it and a diagonal wipe in white comes across the screen to reveal Emily and the new headline bed begins (sounds better than the last one). Along the bottom is a red and white bar with headlines written in red on the white and a scrolling bbc.co.uk/london at the bottom (similar to midlands today's opening headline bar thingy). Then the disgracefully cheap titles start and thats it, into the main programme.

The headline sequence actually looks ok and not as cheap as the rest of the package and the music for the headline bed is actually ok too.

I have to say though there is to much cheap red....the sky news logo is red and white but theres still hints of other colours in the graphics package.....

Speaking of opening titles, there were none at all during today's lunchtime bulletin, nor was there a headline bed, or indeed any headlines at all. .

BBC London hasn't had a headline sequence at 1:30 for a long time. In fact do any regions?

The 'Breaking News' caption isn't new either (although the colour is) although I've rarely seen it

I like the music, however the titles are crap, and as for the astons, truly awful, that could of been done in 30 secs AFA the design is concerned.
