Why do BBC LONDON insist on having a completely different title sequence to the rest of the English regions? Everyone else has just managed to get in line and then London change theirs?

Because they lead and the rest will follow!?

They need to sort out their headlines - the text is still sometimes too long for the screen - instead of 'Wish You were here' all I could see tonight was ''wish you were he'

The headline bit is a nice idea executed poorly, its also recorded as well, many times it has frozen with Asad or in days gone by Emily in mid sentence and invision, then suddenly cut to them looking at their script or away from the camera!

@ Stu Plymouth - London were different to everyone else in 2001 when it launched ad LDN, the majority of the other regions have followed, maybe this is the plan again?

New presenter for tomorrows Breakfast edition of BBC London according to Mike Ramsden, we will be joined by someone called Victoria Hollins.

Anybody recognise the name?

And also appears occasionally on Five Live I think. Started at Radio Kent - was very good whenever a French accent was required...

Victoria Hollins , i assume that's the name of the fair haired woman who I saw presenting yesterday and on this evening's London News.

I just watched the bulletin online , is that a freeview now and next banner taking up the lower part of the picture ?

What makes them so special? Rolling Eyes

and yet they complain about the regions not being allowed to do what they want...

Well we are 8 months in and nobody has copied the awful design, so perhaps this look will not spread?

On another note, does anybody have any news on whether Emily Maitliss will be replaced properly, or are we to continue with the current setup of one week with Asad Ahmed and one week with Riz Lateef?

Exclamation BBC London should get a new studio. A big one! Not a cramped room!...

Well lets hope that when they finally find a new lead presenter, they will take the oppurtunity to relaunch, making more use of all of the space in the current studio instead of being stuck in one corner or the other. We already know that a major graphics overhall is due, which will see all the regions adopt the same look as the nationals, ala Spotlight. However i did find it a bit strange that the new graphics launch in the South West considering they traditionally launch them in the london region.
