news to me, I seem to recall that Music 4 had done the music for BBC london before the new titles.

the new titles are nowhere to be seen on david's own personal web site even in the members section.

Music4 and david lowe worked closely to produce the BBC London 94.9 FM package. That may be what your thinking of.

Yes, the original 'London Live' branding was done by Vibe which is now Music4 and the BBC News theme music is David Lowe. So when BBC London was lauched they introduced a theme that was a bit of both.

I don't know if it's always been like this, as despite living in London I'm not a regular BBC London viewer, but just watching tonight's bulletin there seems to be a faint echo in the background

Has someone got the volume up too loud whilst watching the bulletin in the newsroom, or is it just the studio accoustics?

Best not to ask, it's all a bit amateur. On one night on the previous set, Emily Maitlis apologised for the "faint thudding" sound in the background... caused by rain on the roof/windows.

Some of the studio lights were a bit iffy this evening too - something Riz apologised for halfway through a question during an in-studio debate.

I noticed the echoey sound too, as if a studio speaker had been left a little loud.

Special edition of BBC London tonight previewing Arsenal's Champions League Final (good luck to the gunners!), with special title sequence featuring pictures of fans, the two stadiums, shirts and flags etc, very nice, did London Tonight do anything (e.g. turn their studio red/maroon)?

There won't be a new presenter for the 6.30 will there? I hope there isn't. The current team do a god job. How about an opt out though for viewers outside Central London.

Unusual for the late London bulletin to over-run, we opted back in the middle of Peters weather forecast, never mind.

Not sure how you'd propose to do such an opt-out given that there's only one main transmitter in the region

The new look doesn't look that bad, but the theme music needs a better climax, like the last one and i do think the big red strip on the top of the screen when the opening titles come on is a bit big.
