As far as I am aware the role is being shared between the current presenting team for an interim period (Asad Ahmad, Riz Lateef, Matt Barbet, Louisa Preston, Mike Ramsden).
However we have seen a lot more of Riz on the 6.30 lately, perhaps she could be in line to replace Emily? However my money is still on Asad for the moment.

Whatever happened to Asad on Reporting Scotland? Was he just there temporarily or something?

The 1st is a Saturday so not that likely!
Maybe the BBC are planning a Chris Tarrant style trick of trying to convince viewers it isn't a Saturday!

It was handled rather well, just before the end Emily threw to Peter Cockroft for the weather and mentioned it would be the last time she could say that, and Peter mentioned he could forecast her some sunshine for the last time.
Then at then end before he handed back he mentioned how Emily could take the mick out of his orange kagoul for one last time before she heads of to News 24, Emily quipped that it was closet jealosy about the kagoul all these years!
Emily then said thankyou for watching her on BBC London and that she would still be around on Newsnight and News 24.
That then bringing about the end of four and a half years as the face of BBC London.

Looking at DS, it seems Look East were having sound problems tonight (the clip on bbc.co.uk has no sound for
ages
before a caption comes up, the presenters being blissfully unaware it seemed). They eventually went to BBC London and I guess at the end it was either an apology for the loss of Look East or Emily's closing speech so a caption appeared during the weather saying they'd "rejoined[?] BBC London because of sound problems in your region."

Thanks for that. Yeah, I quite liked him on RS. Remember him on BBC Choice's Scotland news as well, or something similar anyway.
