Is it me or were there new titles theme and gfx for BBC London tonight. A new brighter red and white ... diagonal sort of wipe thing. Not sure about it

yeah just saw that......................and not one of us knew they were coming!

Very nice music, titles looked pretty cheap.

Looked very cheap compared to what has gone before, would be surprised if those titles are supposed to be around for long.

The red on the graphics has got a bit too bright too.

Sad the studio red is the old red but the titles have the new one.

You also think the astons would have been updated, rather than just adopting the new prostitute-lip-stick red.

Not sure about that at all, why change the music?
its a cross between Wales Today and pre corporate Anglia News Tonight bit of a mess.

Any caps? please.... Surprised why change the music when its been rolled accross the other shows like Midlands today etc...


EDIT: Just watched it online... the music is ok, but the titles just look appauling.It whould have looked better if they had just refreshed the previous titles.

And why is BBC London always split off in apperance to the rest of the regions....

www.bbc.co.uk/london has the latest bulletin.
The titles are quite naff there is a red bar at the top saying BBC London and there is various shots of London and between the changing of the pictures there is a vertical line grey at either side and red in the middle then the end shot is a red background just saying BBC LONDON.

Just spoken to one of the *starring rowers*... apparently, the titles will be changed from time to time because they took lots of footage. Filmed in September...

Very intresting titles, personally I think they're rubbish, with the fastest paced music I've heard and slowest visuals it just doesn't work. Is this a David Lowe creation, in house or someone else?
