Strange that they are using the new studios not TV Centre, that's spoiled the relaunch a tad, particularly if it continues at 6 & 10.

I doubt whether anybody outside of this forum will even notice, and certainly won't care

Old opening looks so blurry on World.

Radio 4's bulletin was 4 minutes (instead of 9) at 7. And for the first time in a number of strikes Today is completely off air as opposed to starting late.

Strangely there was also both a continuity announcer and a newsreader. Usually both wouldn't be available this early. Was the bulletin simulcast with Radio 3?

so - the studio being used by Gavin Grey for Breakfast this morning will be the permanent new home for what...?

The studio Gavin Grey is using is a BBC WN studio, also they are using the World News inserts during the headlines...Apart from that it's a bog standard NC programme.

I agree, they haven't do promotionals like "The World's Newsroom" on NC...

EDIT: BBC WN is airing Panorama, but strangely, it started at :28 after weather at :26.

Are the NC and WN still on a simulcast? At 8:30 we had a headline summary, complete with time checks, but 'Our World' is how on, which I didn't think ever shows on the News Channel?

No breakfiller? How strange.

I assume World didn't return for the headlines summary because it was clearly meant for the News Channel only - but why, out of all the programmes, is 'Our World' on?

I really thought Our World is only for World News. I never heard that airing on the News Channel before...

EDIT: It's just like WN back then, after a news bulletin, it went straight to something else. No news summary.

It normally airs on NC weekends at 2:30pm, it's definitely aired on NC many times before!
