Presumably not very simple. There's a lot going on with on-screen graphics, just because you're used to them working seamlessly most of the time doesn't mean it's easy to do.

BECTU staff at BBC Newcastle refused to cross the picket line, which is why Look North NE&C has been off-air again during a strike.

Its just the presenters on strike , not the technical staff so what's all the need for the technical faults! , and on world right now it's focus on Africa from the marr studio- i forget the name!

Isn't that the studio where FOA always comes from? As well as Global and Impact?

Studio C? I cannot remember the name...
At least it will not be left out unused for 24 hours.

BBC Radio Newcastle are simulcasting BBC Tees as well. They are always heavily effected in Newcastle.

Indeed, Sophie Ikenye is presenting the programme from Studio B. Looks like a normal programme to me so far for Focus on Africa.

Indeed. But how simple can it be?
It's pretty tricky at the moment - as the two operations are in two different buildings, and the way graphics work in the two operations are quite different.
So the answer to 'how simple can it be?' is 'not very'

I think for those remaining at NBH/TVC a slight clash of graphics is probably the least of their worries right now

That's where it normally comes from. BBC World News usually comes from the large studio until 1830 weekdays AIUI.

I guess as most of the BBC World Service correspondents they use are actually African they will not be members of the NUJ. They can certainly link to reports from London, even if they have less staff to book interviews. They should repeat FOA on World News again at 6.30 UK Time as it clearly has the most journalism behind it of any programme all day.
