The Beeb are using the 'bubble' well this morning in Westminster. I guess that they won't get the use out of it that they might have expected (and utilised very well in 2010) as Cameron will be going to the palace this lunchtime.

He anchored Nationwide at the start of the 80's (as the show ditched the fluff and went for harder news stories - and the start of a long lingering death for the show) and like his late father, Richard, also was presenter/reporter on Panorama.
Considering Dimbleby's charisma and journalistic competence, I wonder why he was never made a star news anchor at the BBC.

Is it ridiculous to wonder if that might be to make it look less "Labour" coloured?

And I'll be the first to say it. Huw Edwards is proving the perfect choice as Dimbleby's successor. Seems like he's been doing it all his life - fluent, warm, authoritative. Great stuff from him.

Also, are they using TVC for the General Election. It looks like Studio 1, and the same studio from Election 2010.
TVC is dead, switched off and a building site. The studio is at Elstree, the same one used for Children In Need
