And what's wrong with being a producer? (although judging by the report it looks like she's a programme editor rather than a 'producer')
Sad., poor Kathy, now a “producer”

I think you missed my point – When Anne Davies was bought into East Midlands Today, Kathy was moved over to lunch, then a mix of reporting and weekends.

And you missed my point.... why 'poor Kathy'?

Presumably because when John gets to chance to present (and make the rotas for) EMT she won't be presenting with him.

I think Pete, you are looking for this:

I was merely suggesting that Kathy Rochford had been moved around to make way for Anne Davies – as seems to have happened on many regional news programmes.

Slightly off topic, but the recent 'Inside Out East Midlands' featuring the rebranding of Radio Trent did puzzle me slightly.
One of the people interviewed(The old woman!) surely would not have been part of the latter day Trent audience?
I could understand her bemoaning the demise of the 'old style' Radio Trent, but 'Trent FM' , I don't think so.
(Over in the West Midlands, by this point, I would have been listening to WABC & Xtra AM, as well as the Beeb, instead of Beacon & BRMB, so surely the lady concerned would've switched to whatever Trent's 'AMGold' service was called, by then?)
Noted the presenter refered to 'Capital Gold' not 'Gold'. Faux pas or crap research?

I don't know if that's a reference to past version of the station; but in the East Midlands Trent, Ram and Leicester Sound were rebranded Capital FM "[for the] East Midlands" the other week.
