Agree about Sara/Sarah-Leigh. However they do use a darker version of the Trent Bridge background at 10.25

I dont think anyone but the very stupid would think that Sarah Leigh or SB are there presenting live after working a 12 hour day. Still it's a bit of fakery a few regions continue with.

The ending is a bit better now , they dont look quite so flat or indifferent now as they did with the ironing board set and the show doesnt end with a down beat.

Give it a few months and i'll finally get used to this set.

Back to the Central Trains logo for a moment. They were using it on the ironing board/cocktail bar set projected onto the floor and the wall. It just wasn't quite so obvious as it is now.

EMT haven't had computers or laptops on screen on years....Im not too sure if Nick and Kathy had them in the 2000 era?

It's nice to know that I'm not the only person who's stood on midlands train station platforms feeling strangely reminded of an old television logo...

That's what I mean - quite radical for a BBC outlet NOT to give their presenters direct access to ENPS during their programmes.

Good on EMT! Presenters are all gobs on sticks anyway. If it's not on Autocue/script, they can't ad-lib, so why bother?!

Seriously - do EMT pre-record their late bulletin - or are you just discussing the live-ness, or non-live-ness, of their backing?

I think they may be talking about the late EMT weather forecast, but do correct me if I have got the wrong end of the stick here.

Yes the late news at 10.25 is live and the weather forecast by Sara Blizzard or Sarah-Leigh Barnett is pre-recorded.

I always assumed the news was live, but the handover to weather was so crude everytime I watched it...as for the backdrop I was drunk when watching the other night & could have sworn it was light over trent bridge at 10.25

I've seen Nicola Beswick a few times on East Midlands doing the weather and some small reporting in recent days Is nick a temp or is this a more permanant move away from the crpital.
