After speculation in the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire thread; Dom has confirmed that EMT will have a 'very different set' from next week. Looks like the end of the ironing board/cocktail bar.
I suppose it's because, unlike on EastEnders - most people now own a washing machine so the need for multipurpose laundrette / regional TV news studios, just isn't what it used to be
Is anything actually happening with this new set? Because looking at the webcam shows that the current set is still exactly as it normally is.
Well Dom did confirm it on Friday and as today is a Bank Holiday it would be more likely that it will debut tomorrow. Judging by the images on the webcam last week it seems to be the same look as now but with a different background image and new furniture (sofa/chairs like Look North Leeds).
It's not exactly 'very different' as promised but it is rather a pleasant change from the ironing board. It reminds me of the 'comfy' look they had before September 04 with the armchairs. Note the mistake on the copyright: MMV instead of MMVI
