Yes Quentin issuperb at his job, lthough he comes across as serious as chief reporter i the newsdesk he is faantastic, Dom must still be unwell then.
i hope we see more of him!
Has something been changed in the EMT studio, because looking at the webcam over the last few days there seems to have been some changes made to the rear projection screen, and now seems to have a white section applied to the wall next to the screen.
I'm unable to provide a cap of it, but yes, I noticed on last night's edition (having not seen it on Monday), that they've replaced the built-into-the-wall projection screen with a News 24-style one, hanging from wires. Looks rather stylish, though on last night's edition, the weather forecast was hard to see, as they didn't zoom in on the screen, keeping Sara's whole body in shot.
The forecast itself made excellent use of the new graphics though, with isobars and a specific temperature map with isotherms (I think that's the correct term- where the map is shaded based on the temperature). I think the East Midlands has not really suffered too badly from the new tilting of the British Isles, with the view of the East Midlands still looking well-proportioned and no silly fly-arounds.
I much prefer the regional forecasts now, under the new graphics, whereas the old graphics were better for the national and international forecasts.
EDIT: I'm surprised in the time when Quentin has presumably been unavailable and Anne has presented alone, that they didn't pair her with another female presenter such as Jo Healey, Mel Coles, Carol Hinds, Priya Kaur-Jones and so on. Maybe it's their policy to only have opposite-sex pairings so when another male isn't available (I think Quentin and Dom are the only males on the team), they just have Anne alone.

And the old sofas are back to in the relaxed part of the studio, something we've not had since its re fit

Last June, Anne presented with Jo Healey one Friday. Having said that last week it was half-term and neither Quentin nor Jo were on (well, Jo did the late news on Friday but was off the rest of the week).

And Quentin again all week, this is great, i am still really enjoying his friendly approach but firm towards the news, he and Ann seem to get bon very well as well! Dominic must have a very nasty virus he has been off foir about a month now!

Victoria presenting again last night, she's fast becomming a popular choice with EMT to fill in for Anne, not seen Jo for a while, but i prefer Victoria there when Anne is not presenting! Anne must be doing other thiongs for the BBC
Surprised to see Lukwesa doing the weather at Lunchtime. At 9.00 Emma Hill said 'Lukwesa will be back with the Lunchtime news' and she was talking about being 'on the telly' on Radio Nottingham this morning. She has continued to do the weather on the radio but has been presenting the news for the last few weeks. Perhaps Sara is ill because Anne presented the 3.20 summary herself (Usually Sara, occasionally Lukwesa with Anne, Dom, Quentin etc. filling in).

Sara was back this evening.
I think I heard on Radio Leicester this morning that Sara would be in Leicester this afternoon for the Leicester Expo thing and be giving people the chance to learn about TV News presenting - hence Emma did the news and Lukwesa the weather.
I met both Sara and Lukwesa at the BBC News and Sport on Tour thing a few weeks ago - both lovely and very friendly!

Oh right, thanks for that; I was confused though when Emma had said 'Lukwesa will be back with the Lunchtime news etc. They probably had changed the rota quite late and she'd forgoten. BTW Emma's back on Breakfast bulletins tomorrow. I think she ought to present with Quentin while Dom is off: the Richard + Judy of the East Midlands!
I rather wondered if she'd left Central News (East) since it moved to Brum, what with her presumably living in/near Nottingham and probably not wanting to commute to Brum.
So THAT'S why she's not on Central News (East) anymore!
Was there not any mention of her departure on her final edition of Central News at Six? She has presented some Brum CNeast's though, right?
