I guess for a short bulletin like that, it doesn't take too much experience/preparation. Shefali Oza often reads the news on Midlands Today, as well as being the main weather forecaster.

Nice to see the beeb are not taking the lazy route by just giving us 5 minutes of news today, with it being Bank Holiday! a full lunchtime programme and Anne with a round up this evening.
Seems as if they're tyring to change the studio a bit, anne sat in front of the big screen during the headlines mid way through the main news and again in the main news round up. it actually looked quite goood, on her stool with a small coffee table. I say get rid of that awful breakfast bar look and let the sport come from there and do the main programme in front of the huge screen with either a couple of chairs or how Anne sat today. they would look a lot less squashed than they do. they have the studio space they should use it!!

Of course if it wasn't for the election they'd be the normal 5-10 minutes. That said I news programmes were having trouble finding stories today

No Dominic this week, what a nice relief! But no replacement, usually itsQuentin, who is v good!

Anne alone gain today! Nice use of new camera angles and the big backdrop changed into to pictures in the background:)much better than those awful tv screens that are soo outdated now:)

Has something been changed in the EMT studio, because looking at the webcam over the last few days there seems to have been some changes made to the rear projection screen, and now seems to have a white section applied to the wall next to the screen.

Though good on her own, Anne was joined tonight at the ironing board by Quentin Rayner - a much better presenter than the grim "Dom". Let's hope EMT does not go down the single presenter road, though it did start with it when the EM split from Pebble Mill.
