What do you all think of East Midlands Today? I love the chemistry between Anne Davies and Dominic Heale on the 6.30pm programme.

They are good: just like a married couple or brother and sister. Look at tonight when Anne complained he'd never asked her to dance and Sara said she wasn't missing anything, priceless!

But, in praising Anne + Dom, don't forget the great supporting cast: Lisa Dransfield, Kathy Rochford, Quentin Rayner, Priya Kaur-Jones, Carol Hinds, Sara Blizzard, Lukwesa Burak; the list goes on and on...

Totally agree, the EMT bunch are really good.
Anyone here met any of them or had any kind of email contact?

I've met Carol Hinds, Sara Blizzard, Lukwesa Burak and have had e-mails from Dominic Heale.

When all the regions began testing on Sky, I was particularly curious to know about East Midlands Today as it was the second programme for my area after Look North. I dropped an e-mail to Dominic and he was kind enough to send what I thought was a very detailed reply which I found very helpful.

A week or so later, I received a complete set of signed East Midlands Today presenter pictures - the address on the front was written by Dominic himself. With the arrengement of televisions/Sky in my house I'm able to see EMT fairly regularly. It's rather good!

Yup, EMT is a good regional news programme. I've seen it a few times but I do have one BIG complaint:

Why doesn't the programme cover Northamptonshire, even though it is receivable everywhere North of Daventry and Northampton?

I have family in Wellingborough and can't stand Look at Norwich (aka Look East - Norwich this, Norwich that...), so I watch EMT which is better but doesn't bother with Northants, even though it's adequately receivable in most of the county! AAARRRGH!

OK, rant over!

Why don't you e-mail them with your complaint. I'm sure they'll be intereseted in the viewers thoughts on their proogrammes.

East Midlands, is unique, the only regional news programme to broadcast from a fully working Launderette.

Dom and Anne make a great team, Dom on the spin dryer, Anne at the ironing board. It's fabulous.

Nope but I used to drive past both Anne and Sara's houses every morning on the way to college, and also used to pass Anne every morning in her mini!

Also I go to the same chippy as Sara - who knows one day our eyes may meet over a battered savloy! Wink

Which area do Anne and Sara live in, just out of interest?

Well I don't really want to say exactly where (don't want to get into trouble!) but they live within a few miles of each other in the Vale of Belvoir - if you're going from Bingham to Melton Mowbray cross country then you'll pass them both Wink
