My bad, I thought it was always TC7.

They were only in N6 from May 2006 to around February 2008. They moved back to TC7 to allow work on N6 to take place to make it ready to house News 24 from the April. And even in the period they were in N6 it wasn't too long before the desk was abandoned and the programme was only presented from the sofa again.

I preferred it N6 too - TC7 was quite big and empty for a morning programme.

Once Breakfast finished each day, the sofa was apparently stored in a cupboard outside N6, and the baking tray moved over to the other side of the studio for the nationals.

I did prefer the programme in N6. I was smaller and more suited, rather like the studio they use in Salford.

I actually think it was quite a neat idea, just badly executed. I seem to remember the clouds and sky stayed mostly blue which felt rather cold. Would have worked better with a warmer sky.

I think the original idea, which was explained in the first day package about the new look, was that the sun would rise in the background, to mimic the titles. But instead the clouds were there. Guess they were just a quick fix? That was followed by another quick fix that lasted ages...

The idea was that the sun would rise on the background when the sun was rising in reality outside, and so would start with orange clouds, and move onto blue clouds as the programme went on, and it got lighter outside. The new look launched at a time when it was light outside at 6am, and so all we saw was the blue. Then the idea was scrapped before we saw it at different times of the year.

I quite liked the idea as well. The blue sky and clouds.

So, it was Bill Turnbull and Naga Munchetty today. Good pairing, IMO. Anyone think they actually work better than Bill and Susanna?

We've had Naga on World for a few years now. However, in retrospect, I feel she's quite well suited to Breakfast.

Maybe slightly but it makes very little difference to the quality of the programme.

it seems they have more chemistry, but even if it makes very little difference no one wants to watch wooden uncomfortable pairings imo.

Naga and Roger on a Sunday is an example of a wooden pairing!

Well here's something i noticed in next week's Radio Times this morning-BBC Sports presenter Katherine Downs is down to present on Sunday with Jon Kay-Also it has Normal shifts down from Monday onwards but with the situation regarding Susannah the way it is, i don't expect that to be correct.
