A technical fault this morning with a report on the Grammys meant that, instead of us seeing the report, we saw guests being marshalled into place on the sofa by the some of the technical crew,

To be fair, Louise handled the problem very professionally and they got the report sorted quickly enough.

The format of the show seems to have changed to include topical stories and even business right until 9:15, unless they don't have many celebrities booked in.

I know some days they don't have any guests in for the showbiz section, but this seems to have happened for most of the week. An editorial change or just low on guests? The final 45 minutes are turning into a version of the One Show!

I could be speaking too soon, however, and there'll be guests on tomorrow! Just seems to be a bit of a change for a number of days.

I think it is because Susanna has been on the Strictly Come Dancing tour this week and has swapped shifts with Louise for just this week.

Charlie Stayt and Susanna Reid used to present together all the time, when Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams were the other duo. I always thought they worked quite well together.

Charlie Stayt? An obnoxious idiot? I don't know what you're seeing but since I first saw Charlie Stayt on 5 News back in 1997, I have never gotten the opinion that he was an obnoxious idiot. If anything, he seems more casual and relaxed than anything else. I certainly do not see anything about him that makes me think 'obnoxious'.

Not sure that he's 'obnoxious' but I do think he has a tendency to come across a bit arrogant/patronising at times. Bill seems like a much friendlier chap, as does Louise. I have never warmed to Susanna at all. I really like Steph but not so keen on Sally. My favourite days are when Bill, Louise and Steph are all on together - I think the programme has a really relaxed feel when they present together.

I too certainly would not think Charlie is in anyway "obnoxious".

What he is very good at in serious interviews, frankly, is being persistent when someone tries to avoid answering a question - that's what a good journalist does.

At the same time, he does often go completely off-script and let his mind wander with some of the lighter stories, and it is a bit of fun.
