One of Louise Minchin's tweets made me think, when Carol does studio forecasts, she is in London because she is on the NC after Breakfast. What stops her from doing Breakfast weather in the Breakfast studio, then move to the NWT Breakfast studio for the extra NC weather?
EDIT: Other than the fact the Carol is London based, couldn't the BBC have offered her a package to move up North? Unless she didn't want to.

I'm sure she would have been based in Salford had she been willing to move up there, it would be far better (and not just because the weather CSO is awful and in SD)
It's a shame that she never moved with the programme. For the average viewer, although the banter/chat is still there, it hasn't felt the same since Carol has been just on a screen in the background from London.
Seems like a sensible suggestion. At times, like today, when the regional news on Breakfast was just before 9, she could have recorded a forecast in the NWT Breakfast studio.
I'd like to think that she was at least considered for a move to Salford - would like to know the reason she didn't move with the programme when everything else did.
Can't wait to see the programme tomorrow - everyone is going to be there, including Bill & Susanna too. Will be very special indeed.
Yep, Daybreak doesn't have that 'banter' with Laura and they don't on Sky News because of the location of the presenter. Surely Carol could do her weather at the business screen for Breakfast, then go to the NWT Breakfast studio for the rest of her NC shift.

I'll go and doorstep her tomorrow to find out, although if she's already left I'll just have to raid her bins and I doubt there'll be anything relevant in them these days D:

Utter nonsense there is more chat now than there ever was in the awkward tvc studio.

The move indoors was only a cost cutting operation, they obviously weren't going to go to the expense of relocoating her to Salford. For what?

Given that she used to travel the country doing the Breakfast weather before cost cutting. How can you make such a statement?
More nonsense what is wrong with the CSO? Dear lord this forum is so out of touch at times.
I'm not talking personally or creepily. I was thinking just for the good of the programme with the move to Salford. They could have moved her to Salford to minimise newspaper backlash of the sorts - 'Breakfast is still in London'. If Daily Mail flagged up frequency of the DTL interviews from London during one week, I'm sure the average viewer might have questioned why Carol didn't join every other presenter of the programme and present from the Salford studio. Producers might have been concerned that it would look bad for just one element, albeit very small, to remain in London. We saw headlines a few months ago of Breakfast moving back to London. Ridiculous comments to make, but it still happened.
Since the weather was the only feature of the programme not to move to Salford (some could have said - why move the business when London is the financial capital?, for example) I feel I should be perfectly free to express this omission without having the predictable backlash of being 'creepy'. Don't be so childish.
This was only ever meant as a very, very minor talking point - some people are so formulaic as to say little of true value in their replies to an honest point which I was curious about.

It's pretty fuzzy looking (as it always is) and it's not in HD like Breakfast is. Minor points, yes, but it'd certainly look a lot nicer to all viewers. It'll be sorted in the move to NBH anyway.
To be perfectly honest here I agree that Carol should do the weather from the breakfast studio and not the cso , but it doesn't effect the program in any shape or form so it doesn't matter where she does the weather from. sorry if its been said but Maybe she never made the move for personal reasons ,but that's none of our business.
