forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but if Breakfast is broadcast from the same studios as BBC North West Today, does it stand to reason that it could also be broadcast from
1 | the BBC London studio
2 | the One Show studio

It could be broadcast from anywhere, but it's home is indeed shared with NWT in Salford.

Bitten! Sad

We are now going to have another 10-15 pages of why its should be based in London - Guests, business, news, etc etc etc YAWN!!!

For the non-believers GET OVER IT!!!!! It's in salford and its staying there for the forseeable future.

So lets nip It in the bud before it starts...

There is no office space for the production team in London which is why they went to Salford. Its nothing to do with studio space or usage. If office space became available at W1 the programme may move back, but its very unlikely to happen, at least not for a long time.

Good luck with that...

Well if they do stay in Salford, they need to sort this out. Here's a picture of what I was on about earlier.

Just how does that wheelie chair not roll away to the left?

UHU?

Yeah okay the studio is a pile of tights. My nan keeps complaining that a flock of birds flys out of Bill Turnbull's ear every five minutes. Can anyone confirm?

Theyre more likely to move to a better location within their current building than they are to move back to London tho.

Do sport really need two studios? They've used the spare one maybe twice to my knowledge.

I've seen photos from media city... some of the meeting spaces look like they would make much better studios than the oddly shaped abortion we have now.

There are plenty of shows in London with horrible sets.

Breakfast has had dubious sets in the past. Remember the Romanian dentist's waiting room . . . Laughing

It is. That's the soft area of the same set. I couldn't find a pic though . . . before the curved sofa, they had rather uncomfortable looking beige leather chairs. Shocked

I don't know what's worse, the fact it looks not like a romanian dentist's waiting room but a mustard diner booth seat, or the desk clutter - imagine the Newswatch complaints?!

Oh! My bad, Rob, for googling instead of going to TV Live. Crying or Very sad

I believe it was Jeremy Bowen who gave the set the label of 'Romanian Dentist's Waiting Room': perhaps he's visited a few on his travels, and was referring to a familiar feeling of discomfort. Laughing
