I think the space could have been used a lot better - but it's certainly not a bad studio, they use it nicely and to the majority of viewers it is fine. It's a lot less scabby compared to TC7 which looks very tired these days, especially on the Andrew Marr Show and Sunday Politics.

That's all wide angle - it's height that's the limiting factor!

There's an extra 2m at the end of the set from the left hand most edge of the business set...

What on earth are they playing at this morning, if it isn't enough to have Matt Taylor pointlessly presenting the weather from an OB site, it's also in front of a bunch of nutters free jumping on the steps of a building.

I suppose someone will say that it's to make the weather forecast more 'assessable' to viewers that find difficulty concentrating for so long on the 90 second report.

What a dumbed down piece of downmarket tat the programme has become

the weather on Breakfast has, over the years, come from a wide variety of OB locations, tenuously linked to anything topical. It's not something that's only started since the programme moved oop north.

Indeed it's not. I gave up regularly watching Breakfast a while ago, this week we're on holiday, so I stuck it on this morning. I won't be again I don't think, back to R4 tomorrow. Cool

Louise mentioned that Susanna had sat on the Catwoman bike.

Surprised none of the pervs have mentioned that they wanted Susanna in the Catwoman outfit too!

Apologies if this has already been covered, but with Breakfast turning into Olympic Breakfast soon, do we know if there will be a non-Olympic Breakfast on the BBC News channel?

I'm pretty sure there's a Little Chef joke in there somewhere.

As per bbc.co.uk/tv no, it's Olympic Breakfast on the NC. BBC News starts earlier at 9am on the first Saturday however

For some weird reason, they always list 'BBC News' as starting at 9am on the NC on a Saturday morning. Not just on the BBC website, but also the Freeview and Sky EPG.
