Simon McCoy and Naga Munchetty down for Breakfast this Sunday, according to Radio Times.

Nobody cares... just stick it in the Rota Thread so we can all ignore it.

Indeed, please use the existing presenters thread, that's what it's there for.

Steph being quite comical this morning with her chocolate ears in the chocolatiers.

Hang on! Simon McCoy and Naga Munchetty have just handed over to Zeinab Badawi at 06:15 for a pre recorded edition of BBC Reporters. Does that happen every Sunday?

I didn't know Breakfast was filled that way at weekends.

And for what it's worth, the Salford backdrop looks much better in real Telly. I guess it's also much better than the old Breakfast backdrop in TVC.

Whoops! Always be aware of an open mic, Nags.

Naga just said to Simon McCoy: "Blimey, I'm paying for doing your shift" or "this shift", or words to that effect.

We viewers not only have eagle eyes, but we also have exceptional ears.

I believe she had just been perusing TV Forum and noticed various posts about her rota...

The 6am and 7am hours usually have some recorded programmes on weekends. Click and Newswatch (at 7.45am on Saturdays) are also used

Oddly enough Reporters doesn't get a daytime airing on the NC, but does get shown on Breakfast

8 days later

Jon and Naga this morning showed how much better they are than Roger on Breakfast. Jon has the balance between serious and light stories. Their personalities really do suit Breakfast. They could fill in during the week anytime with confidence I think. Let's hope we see more of this pairing - along with Naga and Nicholas Owen, as well as Jon and Susanna, who always used to work very well together. They both bring some younger blood to the programme and let's hope they continue to be involved with it in Salford.

Also, here's a capture of Naga reading the news into Andrew Marr from Salford this morning. The plasma really does give a much sharper image. No green screen here fortunately and no more fuzzy edges!

Media Boy was explaining on Twitter that it is a direct feed to TC7, with TC7 autocue fed into Salford, supported by the Breakfast team and controlled by Salford's SQ2 gallery.

For all those interested in seeing Salford's homage to Moira's Desk - here's the set up for the bulletin (for those who don't already know it's also home to Sunday Politics NW and NW Breakfast Opts).

That explains why it doesn't look like a fuzzy CSO anymore. Wink

I wonder where Moira's desk ended up? Confused Perhaps we could put in a collective bid?

Not quite up for bid yet! It's still sat in TC7 for the Sunday Politics bulletin.

No it's not at the end of the Breakfast set as it's used during Breakfast for North West Today bulletins. You can see from this angle from the Sunday Politics (same basic set with the desk taken out), it's next to a newsroom type area:
