This picture shows just how beautiful the Salford news studio can look with a decent background on the screens. How long do we expect them to persist with the '
sunset
paradise' Breakfast are using?
It's nice to see Charlie and Susanna back together today. I think their pairing is excellent. It's a shame they have been split up. It would be good to see them back together permanently.

Definitely - it feels like the old days. It's their first time presenting together since Salford, so about a month or so, I'd say. They just get on and it works, obviously because they have known each other through presenting for a while. I'm hoping that as Bill & Susanna present together more and more, there will be more chemistry, as it is lacking in parts at the moment. But it's good to see that from figures last weekend, the move to Salford hasn't dented the viewing figures at all - still a very stable 1.5m.
I guess it just reminds us of the London days and it's just good to see them back together again. Surely they feel the same delight at this prospect. I'm sure they'll be a bit lighter and we'll see the chemistry more post 8:30.
Don't know if its been mentioned already, or if it happens in any other region, but noticed a few times that about a minute before the regional news, in the north west region (via staellite) we tend to get a double image of the clock (i.e. one overlaying the other) - figures are okay but a double image of the red box.

Something to do with both Breakfast & North West News coming out of the same place?
Havent noticed anything strange on Bbc West Mids, apart from Scottie Sarah the Weather being nearly the same shade as the map!

Nope - because it definitely used to happen when the main programme came from London.

It's the way North West opt. They essentialy opt in a few mins before they're due to air - hense bringing up the clock (which is noticeable as it's a few pixels out to the left) but they take the network feed.
They then cut the to their studio at the right time, as opposed to opting everything all at once which can cause a few jitters and faults. It's also a way of testing everything is in circuit to avoid any embarrassing drop outs and errors at the exact point of the opt. If there is a fault they can take London on network smoothly and apologise for it later.

Midlands Today do it too in the Pres gallery, but their clock is lined up PERFECTLY with Network's, IIRC it was off for a day or two and they aligned it whilst on air.
