It would be good, longer term, to see the weather presenter in the studio permanently. It seems odd that 5 Live breakfast have a weather presenter in the studio in Salford but BBC Breakfast don’t
Not really, there's no point sending a radio weather presenter out on location, but there is on TV.
Breakfast will be heading to NewcastleGateshead for the Great Exhibition of the North. No mention of whether this will be a one day thing or longer - The Exhibition is 80 days long.

There's two options here. One is doing a single outside broadcast from the event for one day, I imagine most shows will have a single day/show at the event and they can all use the same space to broadcast from.
The other would be to do it as a summer event, and be there for most or all days, whilst the main studio has some work done to it.
I can confirm reports that I was diagnosed with prostate and bone cancer last November. I'm receiving excellent treatment including chemotherapy at @royalmarsdenNHS and am immensely grateful for the support I've had from colleagues @ClassicFM, where I continue to work.
Sad news but the detail in the report seems to suggest his prognosis is better than most and in terms of years rather than months so hopefully for his sake that turns out to be the case.
Minor
faux pas
on Breakfast this morning, as the weather feed from NBH got swapped to a live camera in the corner of the studio. Although Sarah did continue on one of the screens. I appreciate there are some grumblings about the new graphics, but it was rather difficult to see them from this new angle.
It transpires that Naga
doesn't
attentively watch the forecast; she chats to the Studio Manager . . . and Charlie really
does
have something in his mug.
Enjoy . . . and apologies it's not in HD, as I watch regional (SD) BBC One in the morning.
Wonder what the gallery was doing and didn’t spot it quickly enough. Could it take a while for them to punch up an OS (assuming the forecast was from London) in the Mosart panel vs quickly pressing a button on the switcher?
It was onscreen for a decent amount of time. I’ve seen in the US slates (I assume they’re used because in a news program you could have a dozen packages and want to play the right one) for packages briefly appear on screen or an onset monitor and they are only on air for a split second before they return to either the studio to continue introducing the package or a graphic.
