I've always found the Breakfast set ridiculous and too artificial - time for a refresh and move to London or even Birmingham. The set is too big for what is required: one news desk. The Breakfast programme itself is not exactly inspiring any more with GMB now ahead of the game in terms of image and style.
BBC spend saft amounts of money on CGI backgrounds for its regional news programmes instead of a real newsroom background opaqued or a proper news set. Why the need for BBC or ITV News to have bodies in the background to show how busy they all are or banks of monitors is beyond me.
Sorry, rambling over...
Either you've drunk too much this evening or I've not drunk enough.
I really don't understand why people compare Breakfast and GMB. The two are entirely different programmes with different formats, catering for two entirely different audiences.
I note from Twitter that Matt Taylor is doing the weather again on Breakfast. Is Carol still involved in the programme of has she moved onto other things?
Chris Mason and Rachel Burden yesterday apparently: how are they as a pairing?

Sunday's seem to be quite random.
I've always liked Chris Mason on by-election nights. I hope he was good.

Chris Mason has presented on Sundays a few times now. ` He seemed to work well with Rachel Burden.
Sundays do seem to be quite random. But it's always interesting to see new faces and pairings. Naga Munchetty is the only one of the main presenters who ever appears on Sundays.
I get that sometimes conversations deviate from the original topic but I've just binned several pages that were off-topic, argumentative and personal. For those warned, do not continue with your sniping here.

Matt does appear more frequently now. When did Carol first start presenting Weather on BBC Breakfast permanently as opposed to a rotation of presenters (like we have at the weekend).
It would be good, longer term, to see the weather presenter in the studio permanently. It seems odd that 5 Live breakfast have a weather presenter in the studio in Salford but BBC Breakfast don’t - especially as Simon King now presents some of the news channel morning forecasts now.
Probably when she became a personality on the show. The tabloids run stories about Carol. They wouldn’t run stories about Simon King or a rotation of presenters.
If she was in the studio, we’d just end up with more of that tiresome banter in and out of the weather we get whenever Naga is on.
