Minor technical hitch this morning around 7.15am at the start of an interview (I forget who with). On one of the studio screens they initially showed a guest in the (London) BBC newsroom, who was getting ready for an interview later in the program. Fortunately they realised the error within a few seconds, and the correct guest was in the Westminster studio (if I recall).
Looks like a new newsroom DTL loop to me, interesting orange logo/graphic on the screens in the background..
#subtlehint
Edit: Also apologies for Farage.
Hopefully if this is a hint of the new look BBC Breakfast then we should see a new studio soon. The current one is horrible, too bright, too small, in your face and not enough room for decent pan shots. Mind you the same can be said for the ITV news studio!

We all know what the best outcome would be, for Breakfast to share the main BBC Sport studio. It looked absolutely fantastic for the Olympics.

Or even better idea, production, newsgathering stay in Salford, and presenters, director etc move to NBH studio B
Has anyone else noticed that the view of the reception area of NBH is now a close-up insert, which misses out the red shading on the bottom of the windows overlooking the newsroom.
As a result, all the people appear 7ft tall and their feet are apparently in the lighting rig of Studio E. (I am easily amused by watching this in the mornings)
There's nothing wrong with the BBC Breakfast studio or set. Compared to what it was like in London it's mind blowing. What I would say is that it's never gone any refreshes like Match of the Day has since they've been up in Salford. MOTD has a set refresh almost every year. Also news round has had a few updates. I think it would be nice to see a refresh but at the same time I wouldn't be too bothered if it didn't. There's not a lot they can do in such small studio with such low ceilings is there
That is such an overused idea on this forum, has been for years.
So true. I remember way back in about 2003, BBC News launched some red and white new graphics for the big screens in N6. Everyone here thought it was a hint as to what would come in the December 2003 rebrand...alas it was not to be as the eventual rebrand was black and orange!

There is, there is hardly any room to do large panning shots as could be achieved in TC7, camera's regularly get show on screen, and both presenters are always on camera as there isn't the room to have a camera to each presenter. It works fine for a regional new programme that only main programme is for 30 mins Monday to Friday, but hardly decent for a major new programme that's on air for 3 or 4 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
What are large panning shots needed for? I've also seen plenty of shots where presenters are on a single camera. And since when has Breakfast been 'new'? I also wouldn't call it a major programme.
