BBC Breakfast is 35 years old today.

Sadly not much of a celebration on the show today, apart from a brief mention right at the very end of the show that they 'just found out'.

Let's hope more of a deal is made for their 40th.

Good God! 35 years? That makes me feel old!!

Same age as BBC Radios Cornwall and Devon, who rather famously (at least in the South West) launched on the same day as Breakfast Time.

I recall quite a big deal being made in 2003, 2008 and 2013. 35th is not really a biggie (although Blue Peter went to town in 1993 which was probably more a sign of it starting to live off its own history than anything else).

Ahh, new titles on those screens I assume?

What possible reason did they have to interview Farage this morning?

I spotted it this morning too, I think this was its first outing.

The first thing I noticed was the slightly garish colouring of the central circular feature above the newsroom, rather than the graphics on the screens above Studio E.

I suppose it needed updating, as the windows looking down onto the newsroom from the reception area has had coloured glass at the base for quite some time, and people could see than during the VD news bulletins from the perch (if they actually noticed).

I think it's less obscure than that, the old one had loads of people coming and going through reception at the back, which not only showed it 6am like it was often supposed to be, but also was quite distracting. It was also quite bright in terms of some of the daylight showing, which has been kinda toned down now, I think.

The presenter error seems to be common but I'm not sure why something that seems so simple is wrong so often..

When Breakfast from Salford first started, there were regular occurrences of the captions being branded 'North West Tonight'
