BBC Breakfast

I'd put money on Election specials, Breakfast seem to have been themeing more recently and they've done a fair bit for this election, the butty wagon etc.

Sound appeared to be playing that one during Carols weather at 6.17..

There were special regional news bulletins at 7.25 and 8.55 focusing solely on the General Election.

Rather nice that is too and could work full time. Have the titles been revamped at all since the move to Salford (or possibly even before then?)

I don't like the key change between the opening vamp and titles - very jarring.

Nope, they've been as they are since the 2012 move to Salford. And they're almost completely identical to the 2008 refreshed titles.

I like what they did for these specials presentation-wise but agree that the the theme sounds a bit odd. The titles are reminiscent of the Rio Olympics titles, which also had shots of Salford Quays. I don't understand why they can't use these on a full-time basis.

They could use those election titles full time! If they got rid of that election theme music and used its original piece and replaced the election logo with its normal logo, it would work well. It would definitely make a change from the original titles.

Those titles were lovely, much more breakfast themed than the orange glitter ball imo.

The programme felt fresher this morning, possibly because they had so much space to play with and had a little fun with things and covered the topics in a balanced way I felt.

I'm not sure about them using the big breakfast name, though that's the expectation of a fun filled, 'wacky' breakfast show.
