Oh very bland - would much rather Studio A, can 'imagine' you're anywhere! Laughing

Dan Walker just mentioned that "due to the unique way the BBC is funded" they only have one mic at their Bristol OB. That does appear to be the case. Is this normal, and just covered slightly better than then pass-the-parcel game they are currently playing?

That sounds more like something has failed on the SNG truck (eg the sound mixer or matrix/router) and the engineer has been able to get just the one mic working directly rather than through the mixer.

Depends how the truck is crewed. Some SNG trucks are just that, a truck, and the camera and sound gear used on the floor are booked separately. If they are using an RF camera it's like the sound has to go back via the camera link to stay in-sync (unless there is an audio delay on the truck's mixer or a separate delay unit). If there is a floor sound person then they might mix a couple of mics on an SQN, but a single mic + cam mic isn't unheard of...

The lip sync is noticeably out on recorded packages this morning on BBC Breakfast, studio and OBs are fine. Odd

Breakfast all over the shop the this morning ! They went for the regional opt at 06:53, that seemed to catch
Look East out (where I am this morning) started with London News, then Norwich finally crashed in at 06:55. Back to Salford at 06:57, where Dan and Louise filled with an ad-hoc paper review until 07:00

I presume that's a new handover to the regional news or something then. I think the #ge2017 probably means it's just in the run up to the election. I really do think BBC Breakfast should start refreshing their graphics a little bit and tweaking things now. They should maybe provide some new straps for the headlines instead of nothing at all like other news broadcasts. Hopefully they are heading that way soon.

Tuesday is an odd day to launch a new graphic, given that this coming Monday isn't a bank holiday. Agree with Lukeyboy - it's probably just a special General Election week thing. James Mobbs has a tendency to overhype everything when all we get on Breakfast are very short-term graphic tweaks.

Breakfast is a reliable format but presentation-wise, it's looking very tired.

No, James Mobbs mentions something to look out for and TV Forum does the over hyping all by itself.
