Is Charlie Stayt BBC staff or a freelancer?

According to Wikipedia, Charlie is freelance.
And, it says he is only 5ft2, Iwhich I am surprised about as in the presenter photo, it sems that he's the tallest!

It seems they've all got to be small, in order to fit on that tiny set. Thank goodness the diminutive Mike Bushell was available to relocate too

Ben Thompson is far from small.

Who's he ? (I don't regularly watch the weekday Breakfast shows)

News Channel and World News business presenter - he covered business news last minute on Breakfast relaunch day because the usual presenter Steph McGovern had lost her voice. He's also very tall.

Anyway, is the breakfast studio on the 7½ floor of the Media Centre ? I can't wait for John Malkovich to appear as a guest. Wink

Only in a hotel room as any so-called A-lister would for a pre-recorded interview!!!

No one has mentioned the area where Labrinth performed. Is that far end wall movable?

Is that position in the same building as N8?
Yes, it's on the 4th floor of TVC. Conveniently located for the Club.

Ha! Without wanting to burst too many bubbles, it's more akin to a Wetherspoons.

Well apart from shooting off and the wobbly camera work its not a bad effort really. A little GMTV circa 2008 though.

No one has mentioned the area where Labrinth performed.

I did, a mere three pages back.

I'm still not convinced by the new studio. Can't help but think that if MoTD and Football Focus used a set similar to their last one in TVC - a big screen with sofa in front - then that studio would be far more flexible and have allowed Breakfast to have a far better set.

Having watched Football Focus today, the difference in ceiling height makes all the difference to the quality of the programme, even in their own 'tighter' new studio.

Indeed, I was also going to mention the same thing! It's a shame really, as Breakfast would have been better sharing with the Football Focus or even Final Score studios.

But then what happens if BBC Sport want to top/tail a live event from Salford, whos running times coincide with part / all of Breakfast, e.g. tennis in Australia?

I suppose that's it, there is a greater risk of disruption, but BBC Sport also have their sports centre (that term makes me think of a leisure centre, btw) which they could perhaps fall back on?

Yes, I know they need that for the News Channel bulletins, so maybe this has all already been thought out by the Beeb which is possibly why it is the way it is.
