Not the ending, but this at least shows Halloween colouring. (Start at about 1:35)

Yes the ending. At 9:55 they had the same feature again with green lighting etc

I believe PATV was meaning that the video he has attached to his post does not show the ending of the programme, but shows the special lighting used for Halloween.

Yes correct, maybe should have put "It's not the ending"

Charlie Stayt was taken ill during this morning's edition of BBC Breakfast.

Here are the 'highlights' of a very slick operation to replace a presenter. Anyone waking up to the programme after 06:30 would have been clueless to the change, of course.

After the regional opts, Louise Minchin had been joined by Sally Nugent, who was the Sports Reporter on that day, but regularly stands in when the main presenters are absent or reporting from a live location.

As BBC Sport is based at the same location in Salford, they presumably found someone else to fill Sally's sport role for the rest of the programme.

Normally, the more senior presenter sits on the left (as Louise has done), but this time they didn't bother to swap them round.

Up until I left for work at 8am, Sally was still doing her Sport as well as sitting in for Charlie.

Well done on Sally then,, as I don't suppose it's easy to cover two roles when you haven't had chance to prep for one of them. Thumbs up

Are you sure? From what I recall there was another sport presenter, the name of whom escapes me, sat at the sofa for the 7am TOTH.

I didn't see the 7am TOTH, but Sally certainly did the sports news just after 7.35.

Would have been interesting if Sally hadn't been on duty. If it had been Ore for example.

I didn't wonder why two women were presenting, I'd assumed Bill was in Paris or something. I only see the back half hour at 7:30
