Susanna Reid features on 2 front pages this morning.. "The curse of £1m Susanna" is the headline, and although talking about another front page story Bill and Louise were happy to hold the papers up in close-up with a picture of Susanna beaming back at us! Nice touch.

According to someone on the GMB thread, breakfast are apparently changing "some content and presentational elements due to change on Monday in an attempt to kill GMB at birth".
A minor studio refresh, or a new set altogether? personally, i think it will only be standing up presentation at the TOTH, and maybe a desk reintroduced at the first hour, at the other end of the studio?
Highly unlikely for a new set, as it's only been in use for 2 years, a little longer for nwt.

Presentation is more than just sets, it's graphics, dipslays, presenters and sets (and more than that)

Yes, i'm aware of that, i was just pointing out a few of the things. I don't personally think the main graphics will change, as for presenters, displays etc, i'm sure Louise will get the main job, possibly a new background on the screens, i'm not sure.

I'm hoping for a new background on the screens personally - the current ones look so bad IMO. I like the idea of a desk, and some standing up presentation - it's nice to vary it. Perhaps they will utilise the lovely coming up graphics more and have some new graphics based on that here and there. Sorry for the speculation though. Wink

If they're updating things to act as a spoiler to GMB, you can guarantee they'll be changing things to a) "big up" their strong points - news, weather & local opts; and b) highlighting stuff that GMB are predicted to do themselves.

I wouldn't expect any design changes to the set, background or graphics, as changing none of those will help people stick to BBC 1.

The structure of business news is one of the changes. A new off camera team is in place in Salford to work on biz stories.

They had a desk in the 2002 and 2006 revamps. They were dumped on both occasions after a few months and not a single person outside tv forum wants stand up presentation or cares about coming up graphics. Rolling Eyes

Hasn't this already been on air. Steph presenting a number of stories from her presentation area instead of her usual interview?
