The face of Breakfast is all four presenters since the move to Salford, and each team presenting three days each. Bill does not trump Charlie if something major is happening on Charlie's normal day, Charlie continues to present.

People need to get this fixation out of their heads.

It sort of suggests that Charlie and Louise play a minor role compared to that played by Bill and Susanna. What makes Monday any more important than Thursday for example?

I would like to see Louise offered it full time. Her and Billy make a good partnership.

It's Sally Nugent & Charlie Stayt tomorrow so perhaps Louise doesn't want to do the main weekdays.

I have to say that this use of "main" irritates me.

How is Monday any different from Thursday?

Given both teams present three days a week, what is the difference?

It just seems that across the BBC Monday to Wednesday are seen as the most important days with the most senior presenters most likely to work those days. But you are right both teams were technically main presenters on Breakfast.

But Wednesday is more important than Saturday.

Weekday breakfast gets more ratings than say,Saturday. Also, they're the more senior presenters, you'd very rarely see bill standing in for charlie. Some presenters are more senior than others, its just how it works.

Perhaps it is more to do with the fact that Charlie & Louise are freelance?

Unlikely, Susanna used to stand in for Sian when they were in London in the same way Louise & Charlie do now.

They should give it to Emma Crosby. She's a great presenter!

So many names but sometimes the answer is already there - Louise Minchin is more than capable to lead the programme with Bill.

Not sure that's the case actually - I think the 9am hour on Saturdays is one of the highest rating of the week.

I notice that they still haven't removed Susanna Reid from the list of presenters on their website or FB page . . . Surprised

Might be contractual. As although she is leaving for GMB, she is still technically the host of Breakfast although on leave. Perhaps, the reason Charlotte Hawkins got a nice send off and didn't disappear was as her contract was up.
